Welcome
The United Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God, by introducing people to Christ, engaging them as members, leading them to a mature faith, equipping them for meaning and effective ministry in the church, in the community, and in the world.
We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday. Bring a friend and enjoy our wonderful fellowship community. Most of all, you will feel better for coming closer to God and Jesus Christ.
Up Coming Events
(for more details on any of the events listed please contact the church office)
Fishing Day will be held on Sunday, July 12, at Marr Park, Ainsworth, from 2-4 p.m. Some poles will be available. If you are over 16, you will need a fishing license. Pam Holz, naturalist at the Conservation Center, and Wayne Brock, who has taught classes on fishing, will be there. The church will supply the nightcrawlers. Come and enjoy the afternoon. (This event will be canceled if the weather doesn’t cooperate.)
Halfway There Party
Come to worship on Sunday July 18th for a “Halfway There” party. We are celebrating getting halfway through the Bible. We started reading Genesis in February and at the end of July will be halfway through the book of Psalms. If you’ve been faithfully making your way through every chapter, come and celebrate! If you haven’t gotten started yet, it’s never too late! Let this be your excuse for reading the last half of God’s Word. Remember that everyone is welcome to the two weekly discussion groups that meet all this year. One meets on Fridays at noon at the UP home. The other meets in the church chapel on Sunday evenings at 6:30.
